Publication Ethics
This statement outlines the commitment to scientific publication ethics in the management of the International Journal Universal Pedagogy Education (IJUPE). These ethics apply to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher, CV. Tiga Edukasi Global. This statement refers to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors to ensure that each article published upholds the highest standards of academic integrity.
As a peer-reviewed journal, IJUPE sets high ethical standards for all contributors to scholarly publishing. The publication process reflects the quality of the authors’ work, the reputation of their affiliated institutions, and the integrity of the broader scientific community. Therefore, all parties are expected to adhere to ethical principles in writing, reviewing, and editing scholarly articles.
1. Publisher Responsibility
As the publisher of the journal, CV. Tiga Edukasi Global is fully responsible for all stages of the publication process. The publisher is committed to preserving editorial independence and ensuring that publication decisions are not influenced by commercial interests, advertising, or external sponsorship.
2. Publication Decisions
The editors of IJUPE hold the final authority to decide which articles are suitable for publication, based on scientific validity, relevance to the field of education, and value to readers. These decisions are guided by editorial policy, reviewer recommendations, and ethical/legal considerations such as plagiarism, copyright infringement, or defamation.
3. Fair Evaluation
Editors will evaluate manuscripts based solely on their intellectual content without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political philosophy.
4. Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts. Information will only be disclosed to relevant parties such as reviewers, authors, or members of the editorial board as necessary.
5. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors may not use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts for their own research without the express written consent of the author. All forms of conflicts of interest must be transparently disclosed.
6. Responsibilities of Reviewers (Peer Reviewers)
a. Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Reviewers assist editors in making informed editorial decisions and provide valuable feedback to help authors improve their manuscripts.
b. Timeliness
Reviewers who are unable to complete the review in a timely manner or who feel unqualified to evaluate the manuscript topic must notify the editor immediately and withdraw from the review process.
c. Confidentiality
All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or use the contents of the manuscript with others without official permission.
d. Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively, with constructive criticism supported by clear reasoning. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
e. Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify any relevant work not cited by the author and alert the editor to any substantial similarities with other published work.
f. Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Reviewers must not evaluate manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with the authors or institutions involved.
