The International Journal Universal Pedagogy Education (IJUPE) upholds the principles of honesty and academic integrity by enforcing a strict policy against all forms of plagiarism. Plagiarism is considered a serious violation of scientific ethics and is not tolerated under any circumstances.

To ensure the originality of all scholarly work, every manuscript submitted to IJUPE will be screened using Turnitin as the primary plagiarism detection tool. Authors are strongly encouraged to check their manuscripts independently using similar software prior to submission.

Plagiarism Tolerance Threshold

Submitted manuscripts must demonstrate a similarity index of no more than 20%, excluding references, properly cited quotations, and common phrases.

Actions Taken Against Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected during the editorial or peer-review process, IJUPE will take the following actions:

  • If the similarity index exceeds the 20% threshold, the manuscript will be automatically rejected or returned to the author for revision, depending on the severity and nature of the overlap.
  • In cases where severe or intentional plagiarism is identified, the manuscript will be permanently rejected, and the author may be blacklisted from submitting future manuscripts to the journal.
  • If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to retract the article. The corresponding author and/or their affiliated institution will be formally notified of the violation.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all parts of their manuscript are original works and that all sources are properly cited. Failure to give appropriate credit to others’ work constitutes a breach of publication ethics and will be subject to the sanctions outlined in this policy.

By submitting a manuscript to IJUPE, authors are deemed to have agreed to and understood the entirety of this plagiarism policy.
