Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal Universal Pedagogy Education (IJUPE) must comply with the journal’s focus, scope, and author guidelines. Submissions are expected to present strong scientific value and/or novelty that aligns with the aims and scope of the journal. The editorial team reserves the right to reject any manuscript outright if it is thematically irrelevant or does not meet the technical requirements outlined in the submission guidelines.
All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. Authors are strongly encouraged to check their manuscripts independently using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate) before submission. Editors will also screen all submissions using Turnitin to ensure the originality of the content.
Manuscripts that meet the initial administrative and substantive requirements will proceed to a double-blind peer review process, in which both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed. Each manuscript is anonymously reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers provide constructive scientific feedback aimed at improving the overall quality and academic contribution of the manuscript.
The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of a manuscript is made by the Editor, on behalf of the IJUPE Editorial Board, based on the reviewers’ evaluations.
The order of publication for accepted articles, including issue assignment and publishing priority, is determined by the Editor-in-Chief based on the final acceptance date, geographic diversity of the authors, and thematic relevance to the planned issue.
Review Outcomes and Editorial Decisions
Based on peer review results, the Editor will make the final decision and communicate it to the author. The review process typically takes 1 to 4 weeks. The possible editorial decisions include:
- Rejected: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in IJUPE and will not be processed further.
- Revision Required: The manuscript requires major revisions and will undergo another round of review once resubmitted.
- Accepted with Revisions: The manuscript is conditionally accepted and will be published after minor or major revisions are completed. The Editor will verify that the necessary changes have been implemented before final publication.
- Accepted: The manuscript is accepted as is, without the need for further revisions. Upon receiving the acceptance notice, authors must submit the final version of the article within 1 to 8 weeks. If the final version is not submitted within this period and no delay is communicated, the manuscript will be considered automatically withdrawn.
